CHURCH CAMP CHANGES

Our family has attended this church camp for eons. My parents were counselors. My siblings and I attended the camp. Our children attended the camp. We stayed in rickety cabins with bunks and screen siding. My grandchildren attended camp with my son last week and this is the lodge they stayed in (oops, they call it a dormitory). The cabins are no more. Why do they still call it camp?

  1. Our church still has old-fashioned Camp Meetings! Before my Dear Hubby and I became Christians, I came from a churchless background. When one of his aunts sent us a letter inviting us to Camp Meeting, I told Dear Hubby "Let's go!" In my innocence, I thought it was a huge camp-gathering of campers, haha! I was immersed in the occult and satanism at the time and Dear Hubby told me, "Believe me, you don't want to go to THIS kind of Camp Meeting!" Thank the good Lord, it was only a year later we were saved and we've been serving the Lord together for almost 31 years now. And my testimony has been published the world over, too. Hard to believe I was ever that godless, wild young woman!
