LEAVINGS
This is the nice note paper Hope designed for me on her last visit.
Michael left this picture on my computer. He was showing me how to use the camera.
Michael also left shirt and socks. Hope left her cap and gloves.
Ryan left a pack of Monster drink.
Dillon left me interested in some sports programs.
Beth left me with tales of her daring and hilarious adventures with her best friend Bruschetta. (nickname not her real name.)
They all left me hooked on THE BIG BANG THEORY, iCARLY and SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS.

GETTING MY KICKS
This new year has started all wrong. Commenting on another blog the other day I found myself sympathizing with their lethargy and said that I needed a "kick start". There are chores to be done, I have movies to watch, books to read, craft projects waiting, journaling and blogging to do, meals to plan and prepare, exercise is calling me, watching my weight is totally neglected, etc., etc., etc. And so what am I doing...absolutely nothing. Yes I have posted to my blog but not with the same enthusiasm as usual. Facebook is getting more difficult for me to understand and follow. Gradually I am getting lost in the world of Words With Friends which captures most of my computer attention. For some reason my get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went.

THE VISIT
His hat and shoes in the middle of the living room floor. When I complained, he told me it was "art".
Here is the spider that was in Ryan's shoe. He was very careful after finding this fellow to check his shoes before slipping them on.
Ryan carefully kept his time card for the hours he worked. Grandpa pays well and Ryan was trying to earn enough for his parking permit so he could take his truck back to college this semester.
Here is a sample of the work Ryan did while he was here. This is for the sewer pipe for our new bathroom. We have a lot of rock in the ground and he also had to be on the lookout for wires or cables.
I sure do miss him. It was a great week and I laughed so hard it hurt. We had not spent any time with him since he went off to college so there were many stories to hear and lots of catching up to do.

Have you ever treated an illness with home remedies and ended up in the hospital (or at least at the doctor's office) due to improper medications?
Is it my imagination or doe it seem that there are a lot of sick people this year? It seems that many of our blogger friends have flu or similar symptoms.
