Depends -- Did this co-worker already delete my files in order to sabotage me?
3. Depends -- Do I have to interrupt my friend from his/her affair to tell them about their spouse?
4. It is a curiosity how a State Trooper had the time or inclination to focus on a handicap parking violation.

We do have what Ron calls "A cripple sticker" and sometimes we park in a non-handicapped space because it is much better than the store's allocated spaces. None I have would put me in bad situations. Casual acquiantances would get a pass from me in a restaurant with an unrecognizable mate.
I don't park in handi' spaces.
I married the only person that was crazy enough to be attracted to me.
A story on the Handicap stalls. My son dropped his wife off at a store in an outlet mall. Lots of parking, no one in the whole place but them. It was pouring rain and since he had 2 boys at that time in the car, he waited until he saw her at the register and drove up close so she could get to the car without getting too drenched. He was in a handicap stall for about 60 seconds with his motor running and a State Trooper came off of the Interstate to threaten him with a ticket. Probably 500 parking stalls and he was the only car there.
I'm sorry but I know I would have glance at the Interstate and said something like, "I guess you've got everyone under control out there."
Neither I nor my son would park in a handicap stall (even if I had a ligitmate sticker) but this was petty.Cliffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12676389902079486865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-1862502036562997602011-12-20T06:02:31.848-06:002011-12-20T06:02:31.848-06:00Lynn – How much is the ticket for parking in a han...Lynn – How much is the ticket for parking in a handicapped space? I don’t believe I’ve ever known anyone to get one. None of my friends told me about my first husband’s philandering until many years after our divorce. They knew it would end our friendships because he would lie his way out and they were right. I often wish they would have handled it the way your friend did.

Snaggle Tooth – That is what is called “busted”. LOL

Snaggle Tooth – I pictured Lynn beating you with a stick. Some of my experiences I witnessed as a banker still come back to haunt me even 12 years after my retirement.

Talon – Those bites in the “you-know-what” are the most painful kind.

Blunt Delivery – How much of our honesty does pertain to whether law enforcement is present or not? LOL

G – A lot of it depends on “how well (we) know the individual”. That is an important element.

Riot Kitty – Is there any more to that story? Did the couple stay together after that or was he fine with her tirades? I didn't want to and worried about what people would think since I am a Christian. I went and it was the right thing to do. He accepted Christ and was Baptised just a few days before he passed away. I remained faithful to Christ in every way.
2.I have a handicap tag but only use it if I am in a great deal of pain. I never parked in a handicap place before I got my tag.
3.I never touch anyone elses computer and do not allow anyone to mess with mine. If I did mess up I would have to fess up. It's the right thing to do.
4. I would confront the cheater and pray for him but insist he confess to his wife or I would.
5. I don't believe the Spirit of Christ in me would ever allow me to be attracted to a friends lover. So to wit: I'd never park in a handicapped spot, I'd fess up to the file fuckup, I'd have to mention it to the friend, and I'd repress feelings (even if I wasn't married.)

The last time I had a conundrum like this...someone who I know through work has become a friend. He recently got back together with an ex-girlfriend who called me at work and said all kinds of libelous, nasty shit about him right after they broke up - before he and I became friends. I was shocked when they got back together, and was debating whether I should tell him or not - and I did. He said he was glad I told him and wasn't surprised, unfortunately.Riot Kittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02725825736285347870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-91909105929849987502011-12-19T17:38:21.549-06:002011-12-19T17:38:21.549-06:00Good questions.

Because I care so much to do the right thing in every situation, I'm often stressed out. I made it my policy to never be involved in "dual agency" as I find it very hard to be completely impartial and not favor one side over the other, even subconciously. I "feel" the conflict of interest and don't like how it feels. Other agents think I'm crazy for this practice. There are times it's absolutely unavoidable--if someone I know very well, or a buyer I've worked with for awhile actually wants my listing. In that case I'm already in a dual agent situation.
Examples of other ethical issues in RE would end up being a 360 page book with fine print!
I loved the questions, and I'd answer them the same way Lynn did.Seriously Thoughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02020491686059164723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-818491934711016232011-12-19T07:51:25.955-06:002011-12-19T07:51:25.955-06:00Well, I ditto Lynn.....Well, I ditto Lynn.....Changes in the windhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06942797186537814864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-11955114713075802972011-12-19T05:49:26.435-06:002011-12-19T05:49:26.435-06:00My answers would be the same as Lynn's.

You are in a hurry and won't be very long. Do you park there? ----- No, not under any circumstances. And that is also a very expensive ticket.

While on a co-worker's computer, you accidentally erase an important file. There's no way to trace it to you. Do you fess up? ----- Yes, I would, so they would know about it as quickly as possible and get someone to fetch it (which is usually possible.)

While drinking in an out-of-the-way bar, you see a friend's spouse having a romantic tête-à-tête. Do you mention it to your friend? ----- This actually happened to someone I know recently. This person approached the friend's spouse at the restaurant and said, "If you don't tell xxx, I will." She confessed to her husband and they are now divorced. I thought that was a perfect way to handle it.

A good friend is in love and introduces you to the new sweetheart. You find there is a mutual attraction between you and your friend's lover.
