I think it is reverse. Last winter was horribly cold followed by this horrid heat and so I’m pulling for a mellow winter. I figured your summers were always fairly cool.

Cliff – We’ve been wearing our “swearshirts” every day. LOL Fingers are crossed that the heat wave is over for all of us.

Talon – I’m wishing for you to have a cool day today. Yes, having the curtains open is a most refreshing feeling. I hate walking through the house and not being able to just glance out at the beauty of nature.

Nancy – I’m so glad you posted because it reminded me to read your story from last Friday. It was great. I had been to the Elderstorytelling blog early Friday morning and it had not been posted yet then I got carried away and forgot to go back. I regret telling you that David only has one kitten remaining. The other three just slipped away one at a time. The remaining one is a feisty little fellow and our granddaughter named him Stripes.

Snaggle Tooth – It has been amazing to watch my pygmy goats and guinea fowl seemingly enjoy this heat. Their native home is Africa and even when shade is available, they will be grazing out in the open sun. Glad you are getting some cooler temps too. It seems many are reporting the same.Granny Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165058412950953296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-5976930552466046702010-08-16T04:09:34.766-05:002010-08-16T04:09:34.766-05:00Wish I could get free eggs every day! Thats right, every critter has been hiding from the heat all this time!
Where I work over the just cooked foods all night, is always really hot too- but don't think I'd take all that heat well at home you're describing!
We just had cooler Temps today too! We've had the same thing only we're still in the midst of our heatwave. It's supposed to break tonight, but so far it's still 75 degrees with a humidex of 91 and it's midnight. UGH! Hope you've enjoyed every fresh-air moment.
