It would have taken me more than a year to read it.

Rachel -- I agree. When I shut off that last CD I expected to see a marching band and ticker tape parade through my living room celebrating "The End".

Kay Dennison -- It surprises me that you liked this book and others of Rands. She is definitely ultra conservative.

Loving Annie -- I don't think Rand has accurately predicted our futures but she certainly spins a tale that should make us shudder at the direction we sound like we are going today. Yea, there were parts that I liked and Rand was a prodigy writer but I'm also pretty sure she was a bit CRAZY! Merry Christmas to you too. What wonderful place are you going next?

Riot Kitty -- Rand's language is probably too tame for you. LOL

Tabor -- If it was a struggle in college then I don't recommend you pick it up today.

Friends, correct me if I'm wrong but the entire story seemed to be about worshiping the almighty dollar with greed on the part of the doers and greed on the part of the benefactors and no meeting for the twain. The needy consumers were simply left out in the cold with no commodities, no utilities, no friendships or fellowship and nobody gave a damn.Granny Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165058412950953296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-10596632826910297712009-12-13T05:13:12.488-06:002009-12-13T05:13:12.488-06:00I read it in college and for me it was a struggle....I read it in college and for me it was a struggle. She was prescient.

She really saw the world as it was to become in its worst aspects -- and also what good stood for.

Merry Christams to you, Granny :)Frequent Travelerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15348485045513754985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11335434.post-91525017811951723082009-12-12T23:09:42.726-06:002009-12-12T23:09:42.726-06:00I reade eons ago and liked it.
