We seldom use candles, as we have cats and it's not safe. Just like with grease fires we keep baking soda near, i'll remember if i do use a candle to keep something around for smothering, not dousing with water.
Oh my gosh - that was awful. I hate no idea. I only use the battery operated ones.

ReplyDeleteI actually knew to never put water onto a burning candle, I always blow them out or use a candle snuffer. I am so sorry that woman got burned.
