Three young boys ran with speed back to Granny and Grandpa's.
It was their first exploration of the grandparent's new country home.
Trees, grass, fields and animals surrounded the magical place. These youngsters loved the freedom of exploring. Now the boys had news to share of their wanderings.
"We have found a secret house in the woods." they shouted. "It is so tiny we believe it is a house for elves."
"Elves you say?" their granddad ask. "Why do you believe that?"
With wide eyes and open mouths the boys exclaimed that they believed they heard rustling in the grass and knew it was the elves running away.
The grandparents were delighted. Grandpa winked at Grandma, proud of the treasure he had built and hidden for the boys to find.

Only through miracles of modern medicine am I able to go from major surgery 2 weeks ago to extreme good health and ability to walk around as if nothing ever happened. My 1st hip replacement 6 years ago was amazing and this one is also amazing. FELINE FEELING FRIDAY
Thank you all for your kind words about my hip replacement. All went well and I am moving slowly with some pain but looking forward to better days ahead. Your comments, well-wishes, and funny thoughts were great. You are quite a pack of blog pals. Hope to get back to blogging normally in a week or two.
I had my first hip replacement 6 years ago. It took two years from 2014 to 2016 to get it going because I needed carpal tunnel surgery first so I could use a walker, plus I had to lose 56 pounds before the surgeon would operate. My recovery from that right hip surgery was excellent and quick.
Now I am back for my second hip replacement. It will happen this Wednesday. I continued my weight loss project and now have lost a total of 80 lbs. There is no waiting for weight loss and I don't need wrist surgery. Cannot wait to get this done and I am so happy we can jump right in and I don't have to suffer two years before it can be done.
My family will gather and take turns helping me for the two weeks after. I will try to continue my blog posts, but if I disappear, don't worry. I will be back as soon as computer access is available. I am already behind on commenting on your posts and I hope to catch up on reading all your posts as well.

She was born in August, 1999. We watched her from birth on the San Diego Zoo Panda Cam. We decided we would see her public debut in February, 2000.
The drive from Kansas was my first trip to California. The San Diego Zoo was delightful. We stood in a long line and finally reached the Panda enclosure. There was young WaiMei to our delight.
It was not just a vacation. It was our honeymoon. There could be no place better for a honeymoon than a trip to the San Diego Zoo. We loved each other and this sweet precious panda.
